Farm Pest Control

Proudly serving Preble, Darke, Montgomery, & Miami Counties

At AllPest Pest Control & Wildlife Removal we pride ourselves on providing superior pest service to our local farmers . Mice, rats, and birds will cause damage to livestock feed, farm buildings, and equipment if steps are not taken to eradicate them. Rodents such as mice and rats will nest under feed troughs and grain bins feeding on and possibly contaminating livestock feed and water supplies. This is an issue because rodents can carry and spread 45+ diseases.

How to Reduce Mice & Rats On Farm

  • Rodent proof buildings: Mice need 1/4 of an inch and rats need 1/2 of an inch to get in. Rodent proofing is very difficult which makes sanitizing and population reduction more important.

  • Sanitize: Clean up trash, keep feed in containers, keep grass short around buildings, dry up water water additional water sources (dripping faucets, leaking pipes, etc.)

  • Population Reduction: Install bait stations and/or traps to cut down the rodent population.

Rodent Damage On Farms

Overall Rodents on farms damage equipment and cost farmers money. Areas rodents do the most damage on farms are:

  • Damaged Electrical Wires: Trucks, Tractors, buildings, etc.

  • Building Damage: Rats & mice chew on structural support of buildings

  • Livestock Feed: Urine and feces contaminates and wastes feed.

Rodent Bait Stations

When providing routine pest control service for farms the most important thing is livestock safety. At AllPest Pest Control & Wildlife Removal we install AEGIS-RP bait stations along the perimeter of feed troughs, barns, and grain bins allowing both mice and rats to access the station and feed on the bait.

AEGIS-RP bait stations are easy to refill during monthly or quarterly service and durable enough to stand up to outside elements year round.

Most importantly AEGIS-RP rodent bait stations can only open with a key and the rodent bait is held in place on metal prongs inside the station keeping the bait from leaving the station and the livestock safe.
