How Are Mouse & Rat Infestations Different

Health Concerns Of Rodents

Rodents have been responsible for spreading various diseases, most remember-able one is the bubonic plague, or historically known as the Black Death, through the transportation of infected fleas. Rats could also carry bacterial diseases like Rat Bite Fever and Leptospirosis. Mice, on the other hand, can carry Hantaviruses that can be very deadly to humans.

Fire Hazard From Mice

From the moment a mice are born, their teeth grow continuously and in order for them to maintain sharp teeth and proper length, they have to chew. Electrical lines in your attic are perfect candidates for rodents to chew on and if not controlled early on, the electrical wiring can be damaged to a point where it needs to be replaced. Countless house fires that go undiagnosed as the root cause are often rodent wiring damage.
